La calle ocho (SW 8th Street) is a Latin street Carnival every March; starting this year on March 6. This carnival gathers thousands of spectators and artists together to dance, eat and enjoy this largest annual party.
The carnival is divided in different sections to provide different activities to the guests:
- The open house from 27Th to 17th avenue, stages full of salsa, balladas y merengues
- New Salsa - Son Festival from 17th to 13th avenues; only salsa performances and dance contests.
- Reagetton Alley from north to south in 12th avenue; hip hop and new urban sounds.
- Parranda Zone from 11th avenue to 8th court; enjoy the street dancers
- KidzZone from 8th to 4th avenues; no beer or liquor. Place family oriented.
